At least half of our business at Glass Artists Gallery is custom designed and made to order. We try to show as many photos as we can in our galleries, but if you don't see exactly what you want, don't worry. Chances are that one of our lighting artisans can create the perfect chandelier, sconce, pendant, floor lamp, table lamp, outdoor lighting, or ceiling fan for your residential or commercial project. One of the common misperceptions about custom or design lighting is that the cost will be higher than what you will find in designer showrooms. This is simply not true. We are able to provide not only unique and incredible decorative lighting - but since you are buying direct, you receive more personal service from a staff that has extensive technical and design experience without paying for the expensive showroom overhead.

Another common misperception is that custom lighting is only for commercial projects. Our sales are evenly split between architectural lighting or other types of commercial lighting and residential lighting projects. The lighting we sell to our trade clients and discerning homeowners covers all spectrums from outdoor to interior lighting - kitchen lighting to bathroom lighting - contemporary lighting to rustic lighting. There are several companies that offer commercial lighting (including ourselves) but we are not aware of another company that also specializes in custom home lighting.

We work with over a hundred artisans and smaller studios that go far beyond creating "designer lighting" - these are true artisan created light fixtures and are generally made specifically for our clients' design & budget requirements.

The process is easy and fun and creating a one-of-a-kind work of art for your home can be rewarding and satisfying. We compare the difference between buying a custom light fixture and buying a "production light" as similar to a "sit down" restaurant and a "fast food" restaurant. If you need something quick - buying a "what you see is what you get" light from a showroom or home center may be your best option. However, if you can take a bit more time - you can reward yourself with a beautiful work of art that was made just for you.
